I just started jewelry making a few months ago and this was one of the first 2 book I purchased. The projects are gorgeous - the first one I made was the pearl/crystal bracelet and I wear it all the time. The instructions are extremely easy to follow and there is a whole section at the beginning discussing findings and jewelry making techniques which I really needed - nothing in this book is intimidating. One of the other nice things is that she includes variations for each project so you can see how the same project can look different using different stones/clasps, etc. However, I kind of wished there were additional instructions for the variations because sometimes I liked the variation better but lacked the confidence to tackle it without the details. Also, there are jewelry pieces shown at the end of the book but there is no contact information for the artist to try and get instructions to make them. Overall, however, even for a beginner like myself, I found this book to be valuable.

Author has some great ideas and teaches by example.

Great book! Simple to follow and the instructions are clear. It also allows for your own creativity to design and make future pieces. The illustrations are also very attractive and as a beginner I found the designs very encouraging and achievable to work toward. I think for the advanced, this book will be a great reference as well.

As a follower of Tammy Powley's blog, I was not disappointed. She not only offers step by step instructions but tips, advice and alternative designs. This book opened (like the previous reviewer) up my own creativity. I was able to come up with loads of designs of my own.She offers two alternatives to pearl knotting including how to make your own clasps - a money saving idea! A very talented artisan, I will highly recommend this book.

Attractive book, but some of the findings are not available in UK.I have not done any projects and probably wont but some ideas havebeen useful.
