I am 80 years but I still have good eyesight except for the smaller, lighter print or on colored background which does not provide good contrast and some of which seems designed to make it difficult to read. I have reading glasses & the magnifier app on my iPhone but sometimes I need a little more. Reading glasses are good except for the small, light fine print & the camera on the iPhone is off center so I am always searching for my target but it is handy. I have a couple of the Acrylic lens magnifiers which are advertised as good as glass but they are not. They are usually unclear & easily scratched so I wanted a lens of real glass but they often come from scientific firms & cost Big Bucks. This Real Glass magnifier matches my needs.**This 30X magnifying glass is heavy & bulky with a wide handle so it could be a task to use for long periods of time but the image is Clear, the 30X magnification much, much better than anything from the big box store, you are looking right through the Large lens so no issue finding what you want to enlarge, the 12 White LED lights provide bright, even lighting & the lens is Real Glass. I think magnification comes from having 2 lens a distance apart rather than a single solid lens but IT WORKS.**The switch is a large convenient slide switch which is easy to operate. This item is so inexpensive that I have to question it's durability because it is so inexpensive but so far I have no other reason to believe that it will not be durable. It uses 2 AA batteries & the battery compartment is easy to access. The lights are LED so 2 AA batteries should last quite some time & the lights themselves should last a long time. It comes in a somewhat thin plastic bag with a flap which will be resealable for a few dozen times which is inside of a fairly sturdy cardboard box. I store it back inside of both but I wish they had an option for a cloth bag or an easy open, lined hard-shell case such as eyeglasses often come in. From the picture I had thought the white plastic might look cheap but in reality the white with a wide black band around the lens on top looks nice.**I am likely to buy a couple more to keep in different locations since it is not the most portable of items. I definitely recommend this 30X REAL GLASS magnifier to anyone who needs such & it is inexpensive enough that even if you don't "need" but just want one, it is a good buy.

Seems too easy to accidentally turn on since on button is so sensitive. Seemed it would take a delay to change brightless but maybe needs charging. Which brings me to my adventure. Used both a charging USB port on laptop USB powered extension and a wall plug at 5v and plenty of amps. But no blue light.OK where is the blue light suppose to be? I assume the tiny hole by the USB port. Or does the button turn blue was one of the pictures seems to show. I posted in the Q&A the question of where is the blue light suppose to be?Then I tried a different USB cable vs the one supplied and walla! Very bright blue light by the charging port! Switched back and forth between cables a few times to be sure. Confirmed the supplied USB cord is bad. Now brilliant blue charging lights up a huge area. Deleted my Where is blue light supposed to be question.Otherwise even when not fully recharged the LED lighting is great and reasonable magnification

I purchased this for my husband as he is an avid metal detectorist and is in needed of a good magnifying glass. This fits the bill and then some. It's magnification is powerful, it is lightweight to hold and is big enough to see good-sized items. The lights are a plus and add to this product to make it even better. I would highly recommend this magnifying glass and am glad I made the purchase.

I love how you are to change the brightness of the lighting to your liking. The magnification is awesome for what I use it for. I read medical charts for work and this is such a big help to release stress on the eyes with small print. Would definitely recommend this magnifier.

It is easy to hold with a large handle. I find the focus/depth of field to be a bit narrow. It needs to be held fairly close to the object you wish to look at. The light is adequate.

The light is cool because it stays on when you push the button but its so bright its kind of hard to focus on what youre trying to read. Over all I'd buy it again if I needed to.

This is the magnifying glass I have been looking for! My mother has poor vision and this has been so helpful in reading labels and more. The magnifying power is great and the light options are nice to have for different ambient lighting and packaging scenarios. As others have mentioned, it does turn on very easily but that is a small problem given how great the product is over all. A light tap or even a "swipe up" over the power button turns it on, changes lighting and turns it off. This is nice for some who may have weak hand strength or mobility. I have bought another for my mum and a couple for Christmas! And I love we can recharge it!

Great working light. My only complaint is how heavy it is. This may be an issue for the older generation that have a hard time lifting this for more than a couple of minutes.

The magnification on this item is brilliant, a bit larger than the 10x magnifiers, with good lighting if needed which is easy to turn on or off with the switch located on the top part of the handle. It is a decent weight but not too heavy for me and it is comfortable to hold. I have several magnifiers of varying shapes and sizes and this one is rapidly becoming my absolute favourite.
