Load and trashy!
I’ve always liked Wuhan China cymbals. I figure if they was good enough for The Professor back in the day, they’re good enough for me. These cymbals are very loud and quite trashy. It has a slight “gong” sound to it, but will get that “standard” China sound if you play it harder. Some China cymbals have to be broken in, so playing it more may help in bringing out the “correct” sound. You may have to use some dampening to get more high end out of them. The recorded “studio” sound that most China cymbals make on albums will not come out of this cymbal though without some modification or studio tricks. If you are looking for that sound, you may be better off with one of the big name brands.

I'm in love with this cymbal.
Not sure how to tell my wife, but I think I'm in love with this cymbal. Seriously, I have an 18" Sabian China and this would sound similar if I played it with wood tips on the edge, and the Sabia with nylon tips. But why? This is a great, dark China with so many different tones. You'll have fun! Buy it.
