Naturo Crystal Himalayan Rock Salt Pyramid Lamp of 1Kg (Light Pink)

It is a beautiful piece, but one major drawback- you cannot 'use' it in coastal regions, esp cities like Mumbai, Goa, Chennai and Kolkata where humidity levels are very high. The Himalayan Rock Salt starts absorbing moisture from the air and becomes wet, dissolving the salt, and flows down, leaving big scars on the sides. If I had not noticed this on time, the whole thing would have dissolved and crumbled away. If you are in a place with high humidity, better use it in enclosed places, storage bins, and cupboards where you store food and perishables: this pyramid absorbs all ambient moisture, and adds to it the preservative 'Pyramid effect'.One suggestion to the manufacturer: the angles are not congruent. Better you duplicate this pyramid in the shape of the Great Pyramid of Giza; dimensions are available online. It will give great positive effect.

There is no space for the heat of the bulb to escape. So the bulb expires in a day or 2. So I had to separate the salt pyramid from the wooden base. And kept space for the bulb to breathe. This problem occurs in all salt lamps. The manufacturer shud b thoughtful and design the lamps accordingly. I had to do the same thing with my other salt lamps too.

This is 4th time in the last 4 months when the bulb gets fused and now the salt has started melting and is covering the wooden part. Otherwise it looks beautiful and is an add-on to your room decor.
