The tool I didn’t know I needed
The media could not be loaded. This thing has come in handy more than once…having 2 kids who are too young to tell me when they’ve got ear pain and a partner who isn’t comfortable cleaning his ear canals with cotton swabs, I pull this contraption out at least once a month. With the kids, it’s saved us from long waits at urgent care and gotten my kids relief faster when their pain started after hours when there was nowhere to take them to be seen (or when all three of us are sick at the same time and weren’t up for the trip); I’ve been able to use this device to take a picture of their angry eardrum and upload it to a telehealth doc, and get their antibiotics with no hassle. And with my partner, he is very squeamish about qtips in the ear (and has very sensitive ears) so this camera helps him to feel comfortable while I’m swabbing the wax from the outer half of the ear canal. You can see in this video, he gets big globs of sticky wax, to the point where it can affect his hearing, and this helps me find the issue without having to go in blind and risk hurting him. Now, there are a couple areas where there’s definitely room for improvement:-The wax removal tips that come with are pretty hard, and they don’t feel sharp to the finger tips but can feel very sharp to the sensitive skin inside the ear. Also the angle of the tip obstructs a lot of the view, and doesn’t really allow you to get debris off the side wall without having to guess if you’re in the right spot. The attachments are also extremely long, so you can’t safely visualize everything because if you go deep enough for the camera to “see,” you’d risk discomfort or injury from the length of the attachment. I think a different shape/size/angle and a softer material would go a long way to making this product nearly perfect.-the image quality could be a bit clearer, but considering the low price point and small form factor it’s more than adequate and better than I expected-the app shows the video in a circle but the video recorded from the app comes out in a regular rectangular format, which I prefer. The circle makes it very hard to identify landmarks and figure out what direction you need to maneuver to get to the wax. I’m not certain but I think the viewing area when you download and review the recorded video shows more of the image than what you can see in the circular live view in the app. I would like to have an option to view in a square format, especially if the circle cuts off viewing area.-the last thing is another comfort issue, when the plastic tips are not installed (I don’t use the attachments at all anymore) there is a somewhat sharp edge on the metal collar that the plastic probes attach to. I think it would be a great upgrade to design a new attachment for people who want the camera by itself: a cushioned, maybe silicone, open circle that can twist onto the device in place of the attachments. This would prevent discomfort/accidentally scraping the ear canal wall, and would also help keep dirt off the lens.Anyway, aside from a few negligible flaws (this is just me nitpicking) it’s a really good product and I’m happy with my purchase. Battery life is good, the device is reliable, I’ve never had any issue connecting or staying connected, the app is stable and doesn’t freeze, and it’s well built and sturdy.

Great Value Tool For Cleaning Ears
I rarely make the effort to write reviews, but this product has been so useful for me, I felt the need to.To preface, I've always had a significant amount of ear wax build up, and have always needed to have other people use an otoscope and tool to remove some. And that's only if I could find someone who would actually agree, my GF is 50/50 about it. At this point, I figured I'd need something to do it myself, and found this specific product.Product package was well packed, and everything came without issue. Right out the box, I was surprised to see the build quality of this one, as I've seen cheaper ones elsewhere. The tool itself, and then all the accessories it came with, all seem to be quality and seem to hold up just fine.Instructions in the box were easy to read and understand, and it was a breeze to connect to my iPhone and start using the product. Video quality itself is wonderful and I was actually legitimately surprised how nice and clear it was, considering the price and purpose of the tool. At first, as with any self care tool, it takes some time to learn how to manipulate the tool to be useful, but once you accomplish that, this tool is ridiculously useful. I have since used the product multiple times without issue, and am actually very glad I made the purchase after so long. This product makes it so easy to clean your own ears. If you have a large amount of ear wax build up like myself, get this immediately!

Gross But Satisfying!
Well packaged, tool felt sturdy, setup was super easy. I was getting the wax out in under 10 minutes of opening the box. (Including downloading the app) It takes a little getting used to each time, but not bad. I have quite waxy, itchy ears, and have been using this routinely since getting it about a month ago. I have used many different earwax removal methods over the years, but always felt like I was missing stuff, or have scratched my ear canal. It is SO nice to see what I'm doing, and get all the wax out without hurting myselff$f$×1f⅘Mom also has very waxy ears and has had the same problems as me, even had to have the dr remove the buildup due to hearing loss, despite cleaning her ears with a cotton swab almost daily. She started using better tools, but this was her favorite by far. Stepdad has hearing aids, so tends to get some buildup too. VA won't pay for Dr to clean them, even tho it makes his hearing loss a little better and improves comfort, so needs fewer adjustment visits. Now he can do it himself too.I happened to get this towards the end of bronchitis recovery (thankfully nktbcovid) that gave me trouble with my ears too. Dr said my ears didn't look infected, but also not quite normal, kinda described what he saw. Got this tool a couple days later. Nice to be able to see what he was talking about.

Super easy to use!
I bought this cause I wanted to see if I had terrible wax before I booked an expensive appointment with my doctor to check my ears for a buildup of wax. I was pleasantly surprised that I had barely any and it was so easy to use! You hook it up to your phone and that’s how you see what you’re doing. Only con is that if you’re using it for too long it will heat up and you could possibly burn your inner ear. So be careful and happy hunting!

It’s okay
The first time I used it, one of the tips came apart. Since then, two more have broken. It also gets hotter than I think it should inside the ear on the metal wand part. While using and watching it on your phone, the camera view automatically rotates which really isn’t helpful. Makes you lose the spot you were just looking at.I used alcohol wipes to clean the parts and wand and it was almost impossible to get the strings out of the end of the wand which affects how the camera works. If they make upgrades I’d suggest making the device not automatically rotate and I’d also suggest making the metal wand longer. The handle part is too wide and gets in the way of some ears.
